Career and Technical Center Programs
Career and Technical Center (CTC) education plays a vital role in the academic and workforce development mission of the Canon-McMillan School District. CTC programs enroll about 200 students each year. The organization offers hands-on learning opportunities in high-demand career fields for high school students in grades 10–12.
Students split their day between Canon-McMillan High School and a regional career and technical center. This allows them to remain fully engaged in their core academic studies while gaining practical skills that prepare them for immediate employment, post-secondary education or advanced training.
Canon-McMillan’s primary partner is the Western Area Career and Technology Center (WACTC). The school offers a broad array of programs, including welding, carpentry, cosmetology, health occupations and information technology.
