Principal's Message
I've been an employee with the District for seven years. Three years as a School Counselor, one year as an Assistant Principal and three years as Principal. Fun fact: I graduated from Canon-McMillan in 2008.
My vision for Canon-McMillan High School is to create a school environment where academic excellence, career readiness and personal growth are all equally prioritized. Over the next few years, I aim to ensure that we continue building pathways that prepare students for college, the workforce, or the military, while also expanding real-world learning opportunities and fostering a school culture that is supportive, safe and empowering for all students and staff.
At Canon-McMillan High School, we work hard to ensure that every student feels seen, heard and supported. This means intentionally building connections between staff and students, promoting inclusive practices across classrooms and extracurriculars, and ensuring that every voice, regardless of background or ability, has a place in the conversation. When students feel valued, they are more engaged and more confident in reaching their full potential.
The culture at our school is collaborative, student-centered and grounded in community pride. We take pride in our strong academic and extracurricular programs, our supportive staff and our commitment to continuous improvement. There is a shared belief here that every student can succeed, and we work as a team, teachers, staff, families and students, to create a school where that belief becomes a reality.
What I enjoy most is the people in our District. It’s our students, staff and families that make Canon-McMillan a special place. The sense of community is strong here, and there’s a genuine commitment to helping students grow academically and as individuals. It's a privilege to lead a school where people care deeply, work hard and constantly strive to make each day better than the last.
